Personal finance budgeting
All of us would want to have unlimited money to spend on our needs and splurge on our wants. But sadly, most of us can only have as much money to squeeze into our almost limitless expenses. The only option left to do is to conduct a personal finance budgeting of the money earned for a certain period of time and to plan out how to spend it. In preparing a personal budget, one needs to consider the amount of your regular income and then determine your monthly and annual bills. Then you can add to your budget your regular living allowance. With the money left, you can plan out the non-essentials. Personal finance budgeting can help you keep a track of your expenses as well as allow you to save up for future expenditures. It also enables you to make payments on time so you could maintain a good credit standing whenever the need arises for you to make a loan or credit. Basically, a budget is a list of the income that you have on a regular basis and the expenses that you need to spend on and the expenditures that you would want to make on a regular or a one-time basis. One can prepare a personal budget on a monthly or weekly basis, whatever is more convenient and helpful for you. Although, how you make out your personal budget depends on your own preferences, it is best to prepare your budget depending on your pay date schedule. In personal finance budgeting, it is important to include all expenses not just to determine how much we spend but in order to track down our spending habits. A good way to start your own personal finance budgeting is to list down your daily and weekly expenses as well as your income. Once you have the exact figures, make sure that the total amount of your expenses does not go over your income. If this happens, then it means you need to reduce your expenses. In order to solve these problems, you can decide to stop these expenses, find creative means of limiting your expenditures, or decide to prioritize the expenses that you have to make in order to avoid overspending. Personal finance budgeting is an important step towards your financial success and ultimately realizing your life’s goals and dreams. Although budgeting may not seem to be that easy, the rewards of getting the most out of your income and making just the right expenses and meeting your bills on time is an important ingredient not only to get a good credit history but more importantly in enriching your financial discipline.
Natural resources mutual funds
Everybody knows and understands the importance of mutual funds. The economic part of the natural resources we will deal in detail in this small article about the natural resources mutual funds. The supply of natural resources is always limited. We can see the growing demand for the natural resources like oil, gas, metals, coal etc. The simple law of economics says that if there is less supply and more demand to a product then there is chance of making a profit in the market. This applies to all types of natural resources. We feel the inflationary trends in fuel prices. One way of beating the ever rising prices of fuels will be to invest in mutual funds that are dealing in it. So investing in natural resources mutual funds offers an excellent opportunity to beat the inflation and high prices of fuels. For last more than ten years, the natural resources mutual funds are performing better than the average mutual funds. It is true that commodity prices are soaring and this trend will continue for some time to come. However everything is not as easy as it used to be once upon a time. As the metals and oils take more time and cost to explore them, there will be a ratio of cost to profit to be watched. It is true that metal costs are increasing but cost of extracting and refining them is also increasing very fast. Presently it costs more to dig, mine or extract. If the company announces a new manufacturing unit, one will have to study its profitability very seriously. There is no guarantee that it will be really profitable just because the commodity or natural resources prices are increasing. The technology does affect the production costs. Other market parameters also affect the profitability of natural resources mutual funds. All this means that if you want to invest in the natural resources mutual funds you will have to be very careful. In past people used to invest in natural resources mutual funds blindly and they would get good returns. The nature of the natural resources industry was such that the profitability was well assured. It is no more like that. This in turn means its profitability will depend upon the skills of the management team. If the team managing the natural resources mutual funds is skilled, experienced, then you can get good returns on your natural resources mutual funds investments. Like any other mutual funds, there are many web sites giving full info regarding natural resources mutual funds. Study them. Decide for yourself whether oil stocks are overpriced or not. Study and then invest. You are assured of good returns in natural resources mutual funds.
Equipment rental franchise
The concept of an equipment rental franchise is simple. Provide equipment and supplies for those items of equipment which are used seldom enough that it does not make sense to purchase. Typically, equipment rentals are for larger cost items which are used only periodically, such as seasonal equipment. Rototilling equipment and edging equipment are examples of products which the average homeowner may only use once or twice during a season. At the same time the cost to purchase the item is unwarranted at that level of use. Another primary reason used for equipment rental rather than purchase is due to one-time or rare usage. For instance, many do it yourselfers will choose to paint house exterior themselves, rather than hire the job done. In such cases, it may make more sense to rent a paint sprayer of a commercial size instead of purchasing a small unit which may not get the job done adequately, or a large unit which can be a sizable investment. When you rent the equipment, you know that it has been well-maintained and is operational. Sometimes a backhoe or truck is rented to accomplish some specific large task which does not happen often enough to warrant purchasing a vehicle. In order to excavate for a garden pond, for example, construction or grading equipment could be purchased. On a smaller scale, families planning a wedding or wedding reception may choose to rent items such as a large punch bowl, a wedding arch, extra folding chairs or tables to be a convenient way to use needed items on a temporary basis. People who rent from equipment rental franchises aren’t always private homeowners or individuals. Often, contractors will rent specific equipment items from the franchise store when the use is sporadic. An example might be a contractor who occasionally uses scaffolding to accomplish a particular job. It may be cheaper to rent the scaffolding, rather than to purchase and store such equipment. What type of individual might be interested in acquiring an equipment rental franchise? A person who is interested in working with the public is always helpful in a people-oriented business. The franchisee should have some knowledge of tools and equipment in various trades. A franchisee in the equipment rental business must be able to provide adequate space for the three major components of his business: display, storage and repair. Examples of current equipment rental franchises are Grand Rental Station, Taylor Rentals and Party Central.
401k laws
The biggest point of concern for the employed people in America is regarding their future after retirement. Due to increasing dynamism in corporate world, the job threats are now the most common problems. With the problem of unemployment, the problem of retirement looks bigger. Thus, one needs to at least get rid of all these tensions and should go for a solution that could make his/her life after retirement a nice and relaxed life. The above benefits are provided by the 401K laws and several amendments are made from time to time in the 401 law in order to make it more powerful and make the people more secured after retirement. Keeping in view the benefits of 401K, here is the brief comparison made between the old 401K law as well as the new or the updated 401K law. 1. Employer Matching Contributions: As per old 401K law, it was required that the Employer Matching Contributions should put under 5-year cliff vesting or 7-years Graded vesting. As against this as per updated 401K law the contribution to an Employer Matching Contributions for an employee who has served even an hour of his job in a year starting from end of 31 December 2001, is required to be calculated on the basis of the 3-year vesting or 6-years Graded vesting. 2. Catch-up contributions: As per old 401K laws, catch-up contributions are not allowed at present under 401K plans, however as per the amended 401K laws, the plan permitting the deferral contributions could also allow the participants who are of the 50 years or age or even more at the time before the closure of the planned year in order to make salary deferral, Catch-Up Contributions etc. It is worth to note that these contributions are complementary to the employee’s regular deferral contributions. For the year 2002, the Catch-Up Contributions begun from $1,000 and thereafter increased by $1,000 per year until in the year 2006, they reached the mark of $5,000. 3. Employer Matching Contributions: As per old 401K laws not even a single Catch-up contributions is allowed in 401K plans at present. As against this as per the updated 401K laws it is at the option of the plan sponsor to either opt to give Employer Matching Contributions as compared to the Catch-Up Contributions or not. It is worth to note that the Employer Matching Contributions on Catch-Up Contributions are in areas of certain rules which are required to be followed. Thus, the 401K laws are made keeping in view the benefits that one could avail from them from time to time. However, in case there are some problems or if there is any need for the change in the laws, then amendments are done quickly under 401K laws without wasting much time.
401k beneficiary
Guide for you to choose a 401K beneficiary: It is a fact that selecting a beneficiary for one’s retirement account is quite a complicated as well as important task. The decision of beneficiary is very important and it is often seen that in case one is married, he simply name his spouse as his beneficiary and that is applicable with either sex. However there are several situations as well requiring the one to make beneficiary other than the spouse and in that case when someone other than the spouse is made beneficiary then the rules become more complicated. The first thing that is required in order to choose the beneficiary other than the spouse is to have a written permission of the spouse. Not only that, there are several state laws as well that won’t allow such sort of arrangement without seeking the permission from the courts. There are several other factors as well in determining such sort of arrangement like the type of the retirement account. Other than 401K account there are separate provisions for IRA account as well. Example if a person’s state of residency is not a community property state, then in that case the person is free to make any beneficiary he desires on his IRA account. Here even if one is married then too he is free to make anyone his beneficiary. The case of the community property states is entirely different to above; here one’s spouse already owns 1/2 of one’s IRA account. There are some community property states as well having a special form that is required to be signed and is provided to the person for his custodial. In case a spouse becomes heir to a retirement account, in that case, the account could be automatically transferred into their own name by just filing up a beneficiary claim form. In addition it is also required to provide the death certificate as well as the proof for one’s identity. Thus after the completion of the above procedure the decedents IRA steps into the shoes of the beneficiaries IRA and the IRA is deemed to be the original owner. Thereafter the new owner will name a beneficiary for the IRA and the benefit would pass on to the surviving spouse as they don’t have to pay any money by way of income taxes until the whole money is utilized. There are many other options as well like one could name his estate as his beneficiary. However, by this way the funds would be subjected to several other legal charges. Thus keeping in mind this factor it is not at all considered a good option to name one’s estate as his beneficiary.
Auto finance
Getting the car you always wanted is not a far-etched dream. Through auto finance, this is possible. Basically, auto finance refers to the ways in which you can pay for a vehicle. This refers to a range of payment methods from applying for a car loan to leasing the car, which oftentimes, involves getting a credit check. There are agencies where you can apply for auto loan. Aside from a lending institution, a car manufacturer or a dealer can also grant auto finance. Deciding to have auto finance is the same with choosing a car: it must be done only with the right information at hand. With the right knowledge on auto finance, applying for it would not be a risky thing to do. Learning every detail about auto finance before even applying for it is one of the wisest decisions you are going make. You see, many lending institutions, manufacturers, and dealers, when promoting their auto finance services, would always show why they have the best deal. However, one thing is for sure: the best deal is when you know which will fit you best. There are numerous advertisements that would tell you that they have features like lower rates and no down payments. What you can do is to make a comparison of the deals to help you choose the right one. In this point, it is important to note that interest rates are usually lower on used cars. However, new cars can also be auto financed over longer terms than used ones. The key to know all these is to determine your needs and wants for the moment. By assessing your own capability to pay, you will know when you are getting more auto financing than you can afford. Getting auto finance is like applying for a home loan: it does not give you any income. You will literally pay straight from your salary or income from a business. That is why it is imperative that you check your means first before picking options for auto finance. Selecting a vehicle is the first step but this is usually not where the problem lies. It is in the selection of which auto finance you are going to apply to when things become a little bit hard. But then again, knowing your needs is the simplest yet most important step you can take. Learn about the car’s interest rate. How much are you going to pay and how regularly? Are there down payments involved? To make things easy, you can simply check on the annual percentage rate because that is what determines the interest rates. Applying for auto finance also means that you have to improve your credit rating. Some lending institutions would allow unpleasant credit records for auto finance. However, this is not the case for most companies because interest rats are usually based on your credit scores. Once your application has been approved, you will now be given documents to sign. Just a word of advice, though: make sure that you understand everything written in the paper. Sometimes lenders would sell you their low interest rates promo only to inform you a week later that all they could do is refer you to another lending institution that can give you the loan quote you are looking for. This all goes down to making sure you know the agency giving the auto finance. Putting money into something that only counts a little is an emotionally frustrating act. Make most of your money by being very well-informed.
Surety bonds
Surety bonds are bonds issued by an organization or a unit usually on behalf of the contractual party or the second party. Here the organization guarantees that the second party, who is into a contractual agreement, will fulfill the obligations that they have made to the third party. In the event the third party fails to meet the obligations, then the second party promises to fulfill them on their behalf. The entity or the organization issuing surety bonds is known as guarantor, while the second party who has made the obligations to the third party is known as principal. The third party is usually called the oblige and the oblige protected by the bond. In case of default, the surety may pay the amount so as to fulfill the contractual terms or they may arrange for it to be paid by some other party. Thus, surety bonds explain the roles and responsibilities of all the parties involved in very clear terms. The entire purpose is to ensure that the contractual terms are met, and the interests of all the parties are looked after. They act as a form of reinforcement. Surety bonds have been in existence for more than a few hundred years ago. Long back, during the early days of trading, these surety bonds were used to guarantee long distance trading deals. In 1880, United States Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York was the first corporate entity to issue a surety bond. As per the current estimates revealed by the Surety and Fidelity Association of America, as much as $3.5 billion is the amount of annual premiums paid towards US surety bonds. Surety bonds are in great demand in all kinds of business transactions. There are various types of surety bonds, some of them being commercial bonds, contract bonds, license and permit bonds and performance and payment bonds. Contract bonds are one type of surety bonds which guarantees a particular contract and the fulfillment of all its associated terms and conditions. Construction surety bonds are one of the most popular. Contractors generally need to give a bond to the prospective owners that their property will be delivered and the contractual terms will be met. Generally, the constructors need to pay an annual premium to the surety companies in lieu of providing these bonds. Surety bonds thus give a great deal of credibility to the principal and also provide them financial support. Many a times, surety is provided by banks and insurance companies. Today, there are also dedicated companies which issue only these bonds. One such example would be surety1 which provides an extensive gamut of bonds.
